Shipping Policy

Where we ship

We ship to street addresses in all 50 US states and Washington, DC.

We cannot ship to the following yet, and the checkout will not accept them:

• addresses outside the United States;
• US territories, including Puerto Rico, Guam and the US Virgin Islands;
• military and diplomatic addresses (APO, FPO and DPO).

PO Boxes. Only the US Postal Service delivers to PO Boxes. If you use one, choose a USPS option at checkout, because UPS and other private carriers cannot deliver there.

We would like to ship further in time. To hear when we do, sign up for our emails in the footer.

Shipping rates

We do not use flat rates. When you check out, you enter your address and we ask the carriers for live prices for your exact package. You then see the available options, each with its price and the carrier's estimated delivery time, and you pick one. You always see the shipping cost and your full total before you pay.

• Free shipping on every order. On every pack, from a single bottle (The One Night) to The Full Moon Box (12 bottles), one-time or Subscribe & Save, the cheapest service, USPS Ground Advantage, is free. If you pick a faster service, you pay only the difference.
• The price of a faster service depends on where you live, the size and weight of your pack, and the service you choose.
• Every order ships as one package, so you pay at most one shipping charge per order, not per bottle.
• We add no handling fee. You pay the rate quoted for the service you pick.
• No sales tax is currently charged.

A quote is held for about two hours. If you come back later than that, the checkout asks for your address again and fetches fresh rates.

Processing time

Orders are packed in Texas and usually leave us within 1–2 business days. Our business days are Monday to Friday, Eastern Time, not including US federal holidays. An order placed on a weekend or a holiday is treated as placed on the next business day.

Processing time comes before the carrier's delivery time. In busy periods it can take a little longer, and if we expect a real delay we will email you.

Delivery times and carriers

We buy postage through Shippo, and the carriers offered are usually USPS and UPS. The exact services and prices shown at checkout are whatever those carriers return for your address at that moment, so they can differ from one order to the next.

The delivery time shown beside each option is the carrier's own estimate, counted from the day the package is handed over. It is an estimate, not a guarantee. Weather, holidays and carrier backlogs can add time, and those delays are outside our control.

Tracking

As soon as your order ships, we email you the carrier's name and your tracking number, with a link to follow the package. Tracking can take up to 24 hours to show its first scan. If the email has not arrived two business days after you ordered, check your spam folder and then get in touch.

Subscribe & Save shipments

Your first box ships like any other order. After that, each monthly box is packed within 1–2 business days of your renewal payment, and you get a receipt and a tracking email every time. Each box is charged the shipping rate you chose when you signed up. USPS Ground Advantage stays free on every box, whatever the pack, and a faster service costs only the difference. Heat, cold and handling

Noddie Night is a liquid, and we pack it to protect the bottles in transit. A few things help it reach you at its best:

• Bring your package indoors soon after it arrives. Try not to leave it in a hot mailbox, in direct sun, or outside in freezing weather.
• Store unopened bottles in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Refrigerate after opening and use within 5 days.
• If very hot or very cold weather is forecast where you live, consider a faster delivery option.
• Do not drink from a bottle that arrives leaking or cracked, or with a broken or missing seal. Email us and we will put it right. See below.

The Night Shelf orders

Items from The Night Shelf ship free to US addresses from US warehouses, separately from Noddie Night bottles. Most orders arrive within 3 to 7 business days, and we email tracking as soon as your order ships. If you order several items they may arrive in separate packages.

Address changes and errors

Please check your address carefully in the checkout window. If you spot a mistake, email us right away with your order number. We can change the address as long as the order has not shipped.

If a package comes back to us because the address was wrong or incomplete, or because it was refused or not collected, we will email you. You can then choose to have it sent again, once you cover the new shipping cost, or to have the bottles refunded when they are back with us. The original shipping charge is not refundable in that case.

Lost, delayed or damaged packages

• Damaged or wrong. If your order arrives damaged, or is not what you ordered, email us within 14 days of delivery with your order number. A photo of the damage helps. We will replace it or refund it in full, whichever you prefer.
• Missing. If tracking has stopped moving, or says “delivered” and you cannot find the package, first check with your household, your neighbors and your building's mail room. Then email us within 14 days of the expected delivery date and we will replace the order or refund it in full.
• Delayed. If your package is simply running late, the tracking link is the best source of news. If it has not moved for several days, tell us and we will chase the carrier for you.
